Update: We are doing a trial in a large compost yard in CA. The first test was done by inoculating the -1 compost after its 2 weeks of cooking. At 8 days, we were seeing bacteria, protozoa, flagellates and bacteria eating nematodes.

If you have time to come to CA, we will be working for a few more weeks on site. If not, we can converse off line after the next 2 tests are finished and the results are in.

Hi Gary, thanks for sharing, it's encouraging to hear you're seeing an increase in biodiversity. I'll leave the on-site work to you and your team - sounds like you're in good hands! Wishing you continued success.

Hi Andie, It would be great to have a conversation with you about what we do to go beyond compost. We aerobically use biologics, themperature and mechanical means to create a liquid slurry soil amendment rich in biologics. The process takes about an hour and we are working to break into the food waste area as we can handle meat, fish, cooked food, spoiled food, yard waste and or field waste. Gary Ailes

Hi Gary, yes I've been intrigued by what EcoSpheres Sciences is doing by way of Leighton Morrison and believe it has the potential to be a more responsible way to process food waste compared to conventional composting facilities. Last I knew y'all were doing the discovery work of understanding what's in the final product - biologically, molecularly - and I'm not sure if there are any case studies regarding application of the liquid byproduct, but that would be of interest to.

I'm not sure the previous studies are enough and we have enough to do more complete studies this summer. Anecdotally, one partner in Mexico City planted a three month old avocado tree and it was bearing fruit in 18 months. We've planted a tomato plant in play sand and only fed it the muncher juice. It grew and produced tomatoes. Hopefully, with Leighton and Craig doing better grow tests this summer, we will have more information before the summer is over. If you ever have a couple minutes, a chat would be in order.
